Warranty Information
All machines sold by Upscale Coffee include warranty coverage according to the applicable manufacturer warranty, product listing, and brand-specific warranty terms. At minimum, machines include a 1-year parts warranty unless a longer warranty is stated on the product page, invoice, manufacturer documentation, or extended warranty plan.
Some brands and models may include longer parts coverage, labor coverage, service plans, or additional warranty protections. Warranty coverage may vary depending on the machine type, installation requirements, service location, machine use, water quality, maintenance history, and whether the machine was installed or serviced by an authorized provider.
For warranty questions before purchasing, or to begin a warranty-related service request after purchase, please contact Upscale Coffee at:
Please do not ship, return, repair, or authorize third-party service on any machine before contacting Upscale Coffee. Warranty claims must be reviewed and approved through the proper warranty process. Once your request is reviewed, we may provide a warranty authorization number, service reference number, or next-step instructions for diagnosis, repair, replacement parts, or manufacturer coordination.
Warranty by Brand
JURA
JURA’s U.S. limited warranty states that a new JURA Automatic Coffee Machine is covered for “two years or up to 6,000 coffee brewings, whichever comes first.” JURA states that this warranty applies from the date of first purchase, is limited to the United States, and covers defects in materials or workmanship, including parts and labor, with ground transportation to and from JURA repair facilities within the continental United States. JURA also states that products should not be sent back without a Return Authorization.
JURA’s warranty does not cover machines not distributed by JURA in the United States, machines not purchased from an authorized JURA dealer, machines purchased through eBay, damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, misuse, improper operation, failure to follow instructions, or service or alteration performed by an unauthorized person, company, or association.
Eversys
Eversys states that goods manufactured by Eversys are guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and material when leaving the factory. Eversys also states that its warranty obligation and the buyer’s remedy are limited to replacement of the affected part, with the replacement part being new or equivalent to new in performance.
For coffee machines connected to Eversys Telemetry and online, Eversys states that the warranty is valid for 24 months from installation or 100,000 products per group head, whichever comes first, with a maximum period of 30 months from shipment. For machines not connected to Eversys Telemetry and offline, the warranty may be limited to 12 months or 50,000 products per group head, subject to registration/data-sharing conditions, with a maximum period of 18 months from shipment.
Eversys states that warranty coverage does not apply where handling, installation, or operation instructions are disregarded, where goods have been disassembled, modified, or repaired with non-original components by a non-approved party, where the goods are used for an unintended application, where installation and regular maintenance were not properly completed by an approved provider, where the machine was stored too long without required maintenance, or where water quality does not meet Eversys recommendations.
Nuova Simonelli
Nuova Distribution USA’s warranty language states that Nuova Simonelli equipment is warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service. Nuova’s obligation under the warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of parts, components, or assemblies that Nuova determines to be defective, and the warranty is further limited to the cost of those parts, components, or assemblies.
Nuova Simonelli warranty terms state that the warranty does not apply to parts or assemblies that have been altered, modified, changed, subjected to misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents, parts subject to wear and tear, or products installed or maintained inconsistently with Nuova’s technical instructions. Nuova also states that the warranty is void if the product is not installed by a Nuova authorized service company.
Nuova Simonelli’s water requirements state that proper water conditions are the buyer’s responsibility and that failure to meet and maintain the required water levels will void the warranty. This includes requirements related to hardness, pressure, flow rate, filtration, TDS, alkalinity, chlorine level, and pH.
La Cimbali
La Cimbali/Cimbali USA service documentation refers to a first-year parts and labor warranty and notes that customers may extend the first-year parts and labor warranty of a Cimbali machine for up to 3 years through a warranty plan purchased within the current warranty period.
Cimbali service documentation also emphasizes preventative maintenance. For superautomatic coffee machines, Cimbali recommends a full service every 30,000 cycles or twice annually, whichever occurs sooner. For traditional machines, Cimbali recommends service every 40,000 cycles or once annually, whichever occurs sooner.
Warranty coverage for La Cimbali machines may vary by model, product listing, service plan, installation, and location. Please contact Upscale Coffee before purchase if you would like warranty clarification for a specific La Cimbali machine.
What Is Generally Covered
Warranty coverage generally applies to manufacturer defects in covered parts during the applicable warranty period.
Depending on the brand and model, coverage may include covered parts, replacement parts, repair, diagnosis, labor, or manufacturer-approved service. Actual coverage depends on the brand’s warranty terms, the machine purchased, the product listing, and whether any extended service plan or labor coverage was included or purchased.
Warranty eligibility may require proof of purchase, model number, serial number, photos, videos, service history, machine usage data, water-quality information, installation records, maintenance records, and diagnostic details.
What Is Generally Not Covered
Warranty coverage generally does not apply to normal wear and tear, routine maintenance, consumable parts, cosmetic damage, improper use, improper installation, unauthorized service, or issues caused by water quality.
Items that may not be covered include gaskets, seals, filters, screens, grinder burrs, milk tubes, hoses, plastic parts, bean hoppers, switches, buttons, knobs, levers, gears, thermostats, solenoids, heating elements, cleaning products, water filters, and other wearable or maintenance-related components.
Warranty coverage may be denied or voided for issues caused by poor water quality, scale buildup, mineral deposits, corrosion, improper filtration, failure to use required water treatment, or failure to keep water within the manufacturer’s stated requirements.
Warranty coverage may also be denied or voided for damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper cleaning, lack of maintenance, incorrect installation, faulty plumbing, faulty electrical supply, power surges, incorrect voltage, shipping damage, unauthorized modification, use of non-original parts, use of unauthorized cleaning products, or repairs performed by an unauthorized service provider.
Any service performed by a third party without prior approval from Upscale Coffee, the manufacturer, or an authorized service provider may void the warranty. Upscale Coffee does not reimburse repair bills, labor charges, diagnostic fees, travel costs, shipping costs, or service costs that were not approved in advance through the warranty process.
Important Warranty Conditions
The machine must be used for its intended purpose and maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Commercial machines must be installed in a suitable commercial environment with proper plumbing, water filtration, electrical supply, ventilation, clearance, and maintenance.
Home machines must not be used in commercial or high-volume environments unless the machine is specifically rated and approved for that use.
Water quality is critical. Many espresso machine warranty claims are denied because of scale, corrosion, mineral buildup, improper filtration, or failure to maintain required water specifications.
Warranty claims must be submitted through Upscale Coffee before repair work is performed. Upscale Coffee reserves the right to review each claim based on the product, brand warranty terms, manufacturer guidance, service history, water quality, installation conditions, diagnostic findings, and machine condition.
